Former Naperville resident Kathleen (Osborne) Hahn, 77 and resident of Saint Paul, Minnesota went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2018. Her husband and children were at her side.

Kathleen (Kathi) was born in Oakland, California in 1940. Her parents and three sisters settled in Naperville in 1951. Her father, Darrel Osborne, was a senior physical chemist at Argonne National Laboratories. Her mother, Marjorie (Higgins) Osborne was active with both the Naperville School Board and Planning Commission. Marjorie also served as president of the local preservation society in the mid to late 1980's. The family lived at 125 S. Loomis street where the North Central College Wentz Science Center is now located.

Kathi attended Sunday school at the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church where she met her lifelong friend Myra (Hildebrand) Riskedal, still a resident of Naperville and member of Grace EUB church with her husband Barry. Kathi graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1958 and attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where she earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics and education. While there, she met her husband Jerold Hahn of Chicago, and in 1961 they married at Grace EUB.

She was proud to be a female pioneer in computer sciences and taught high school calculus in the mid-60s before beginning her 35 year career as a Systems Analyst. Kathi was known for her wry sense of humor. She loved the opera, mystery novels, computers, kitties, travel and family.

Preceded in death by infant twins, J.W. and J.T. Hahn. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jerold Hahn; children, Jillian (Barry) Ierien, Jeffrey (Leah) Hahn and Jenne (Tory Kielbasa) Hahn; grandchildren, Rory, Natalie & Margaret Ierien and James, Katie, Lydia & Matthew Hahn; and three cherished sisters, Carol Clotfelter, Lorraine Osborne and Frances Adamcik.

A private family interment took place at Prairie Oaks Memorial Eco Garden in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. The family suggests memorials be sent to Feline Rescue (felinerescue.org) or Central Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held in June at the Central Baptist Church in Saint Paul.
