Donald D. “Don” Faulhaber, age 79, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his cottage in Bear Lake, WI. He was born July 19, 1938 in Hinsdale IL.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol A. Faulhaber (nee Novak), two children, Amy Baumgartner and Donny (Kristin) Faulhaber, both of Sycamore, IL, four grandchildren, Cole and Will Baumgartner; Sam and Lilly Faulhaber,  a sister-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Burken of Naperville, former son-in-law and dear friend, Dale Baumgartner, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Faulhaber, a brother, Robert C. (JoAnn) Faulhaber and a sister, Phyllis (the late David) Leonhardt.

Don served in the U.S. Army from November 1961 to November 1963 and was a member of the Naperville Fire Department for 28 years, retiring as Assistant Fire Chief in 1994.

Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018, 9:30-10:30 AM at Word of Life Lutheran Church, 879 Tudor Dr., Naperville, IL 60563, (630) 355-9655.

A Memorial Service will follow Thursday, 10:30 AM in the church with Rev. Gary Peterson officiating. Private interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
