Doug Hosler has proven himself such an able emcee,
we once again called upon him.
Hopefully, he will continue to allow us to use his talents in future years.
He made a few small awards,
demonstrated a delightful sense of humor,
& led us in a moment of silence
as we remembered classmates
no longer with us.

June Cossmann Spensley,
here with husband David,
was awarded the prize for having traveled
the furthest to attend the reunion.
The atlas she won came in handy
in finding the way back to San Diego County.  Georgene Herbert Van Schmus
should have shared the honor
as she lives only 3 miles closer.
Whenever you need to borrow it,
Georgene ...

Steve Hyatt, "The Voice of Naperville"
at the yearly Memorial Day Parade,
graciously gave of his time to make a slide presentation
on Naperville's growth & change over the years.
The small town we knew at graduation
has turned into the third largest city in Illinois,
boasting more than 133,000 residents.

One classmate who had not been back to Naperville
in many a year was Larry Martin.  He brought his "new" (one year)
bride Nadine to the reunion.  Larry said he doesn't see more than
a few cars on the 14 mile trip into town from his home
 in Trenton, Florida.
Navigating Naperville area roads must have produced
real culture shock.

Mary Sue Kobliska Meal & Rose Chepon
are email buddies.
The reunion has given them an opportunity
to visit face-to-face once again.

Jon Ripsky (center) & Marcia Fry Goodrich, with hubby Jack (at right),
still live in Illinois; Jon in Naperville & Marcia near Sycamore.

Throughout the evening, we continued to look through
all the memorabilia provided
as well as photos we brought with us to share.
Judy Kingery Strenk & her husband Bob,
Gloria Wolf Evans, Jerriann Myers Wilson & Doug Hosler
appear to be perusing the reunion booklet with which
Gloria generously gifted all of our classmates,
even those unable to attend.
